In Week 6 of Term 1 our class focussed on how to write great explanations. We wrote about how to survive your first night in Minecraft (the game a lot of us are obsessed with!).
Here is my writing, after I have self-assessed and peer-assessed my work.
HOW TO SURVIVE YOUR FIRST NIGHT IN MINECRAFT
Hello my name is Hati I’m going to tell you how to survive your first night in minecraft. But first I will tell you a little about minecraft, minecraft is a popular game around the world that some people say it a boring game.Because there is no ending to this game.
How to survive the first night in minecraft. Firstly look for a tree and after you have found one break it down with your fist because when you start off in minecraft you have nothing no tools no nothing so when you are done mining your tree you want to go on your crafting box or if you are play xbox 360/one you just press the blue x button.
Now you want to make oakwood planks by looking for the oakwood planks icon. So now you want to make an crafting table to craft tools and other things like a furnace, chest, food and the most item I like it the amor. So after you made a crafting table you want to make wooden tools and why you need to make wooden tools is because you have nothing else to build tools so thats why you make wooden tools.
The three tools I recommend you use is the sword,axe and a pickaxe. Why I think that is the best is because one the sword is to kill cows,pigs and sheep and mobs like zombies, skeletons, spiders, enderman and creepers. Two the axe breaks any wood faster than using your hand or other materials. Last 3 the pickaxe is good so you can break stone to upgrade your tools and make a furnace and others. So now you want to break stone with your wooden pickaxe. After you have broken all the stone you need like about 24 or 16 and get out your crafting table and make a sword, axe, pickaxe and but instead of using wood you use the stone that you had.
After you have done all those things you have to make a house before sun down because if you don’t make a house before sun down you might die by not protecting yourself by using your wooden tools when you're fighting a zombie with amor because sometimes you might see that. So you should build your house out of wood to make your house or using your stone too but I don’t think you should use your stone. But your house is the most important thing in this game because if you don’t have any tools then you're in big trouble. Cause you nothing to protect you when it comes to surviving the night. Oh and I almost forgot never dig up when you're in a cave and never dig down because you might fall into lava if you dig down and lava might fall on you if you dig straight up.
